Thiruvathirai Kali Ingredients: 4 Servings

  • 1/2 cup of rice water, if needed
  • Five green cardamoms, powdered
  • two cups of jaggery powder
  • Four tablespoons of ghee
  • Regarding Garnishing
  • Ten cashews
  • One-third cup of shredded coconut
  • Ten raisins

The recipe for Thiruvathirai Kali

Step 1: Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add ghee to it to make this recipe. When the ghee is heated, add the raw rice to the pan and stir-fry it until it becomes golden brown in colour. After allowing the rice to cool, crush it into a coarse powder in a mixer.

Step 2: Put another pan over medium heat, add water to it, and boil the powdered jaggery. After the jaggery has completely dissolved in the water, remove any remaining water that contains contaminants by draining it out.

Step 3: Transfer the prepared rice powder and jaggery mixture to a separate pan and place it over a medium heat. Make sure the mixture is thoroughly mixed so that no lumps form. Keep adding ghee to the pan and heat until the raw rice begins to soak up the jaggery syrup. Add the green cardamom powder now and thoroughly combine.

Step 4: Once the pressure cooker reaches three whistles, pour this mixture inside. Lastly, add ghee to a skillet and add the grated coconut, raisins, and cashew nuts. Serve hot after adding it to the pressure cooker mixture.
